Al-Multazam
Al-Multazam (The Place of Clinging)
Al-Multazam is the roughly two-meter-long area between the Blackstone and the Kaaba's door. Al-Multazam, according to Ibn Abbas (R.A.), is the name given to the space between the Black Stone's northeast corner and the Kaaba's south door. There is no prescribed du'aa' for Muslims to recite there. When entering the Ka'bah (if possible), he can clutch to the Multazam, and he can do it again before the Farewell tawaaf (tawaaf al-wadaa'), or he can do it afterward if he so chooses. He shouldn't make other people's lives more difficult by reciting a lengthy du'aa'. He should shout du'aa' if he sees a spot. Otherwise, he only needs to utter du'aa' while circling the mosque and prostrating himself. As a sunnah, you should hang on to the Ka'bah's wall so that your cheek, chest, and hands are all touching the building's exterior. What you're doing is called "Iltizam" in Arabic.
Abdullah bin Abbas ( R.A) says, “The signs of acceptance for any du’a made between the Hajar al-
Aswad and the door of the Ka’bah will certainly be seen.”
